Debbie disappeared over thirty years ago, while on holiday in Tenerife. Her daughter Anna, only a baby at the time, has struggled all her life to make sense of it, filling a scrapbook with pages and pages of facts about her mother that she has gleaned from others' recollections. But then Anna's stepmother Monica receives a strange email saying it's time to tell the truth. And it's signed 'Debbie'. Anna realises she's never been told the full story of what happened that night on the cliff. Confused and upset, she turns to her husband Jack - but when she finds a love letter from another woman in his wallet, it's clear there's no one left to help her - least of all her own family...
